“Disappointment doesn’t get the last word — resurrection does.”
There are seasons in life when things don’t go the way we prayed. When we feel disappointed with God. When life feels broken, and we find ourselves wondering where God is in the middle of our pain. It’s easy to believe that unanswered prayers or hard times mean God is distant. But the heart of the Christian faith tells a different story. Even when life doesn’t go as we hoped, Jesus walks with us. God is near to the brokenhearted. He listens to our struggles, meets us in our grief, and walks alongside us even when we don’t recognize His presence.
Sometimes we expect God to show up in big, dramatic ways — in miracles or clear answers. But often, God shows up in the small things: in Scripture that speaks right to our situation, in the kindness of a friend, or in the quiet peace that doesn’t make sense. These everyday moments remind us that God is with us in real life — not just in church, but on the hard roads we walk. God is faithful even when life feels uncertain. His grace meets us in our questions, our doubts, and our long journeys back to hope.
And here’s the good news for anyone feeling lost, discouraged, or disappointed right now: Your story isn’t over. God’s love doesn’t run out when life is hard. The Christian promise is that disappointment is never the end of the story. Jesus meets us where we are, walks us through the valley, and leads us back to life. Hard seasons don’t get the last word — resurrection does. And hope is still alive because Jesus is still walking with you.
